CRIKEY!

Welcome to the Australian Zoo, Home of the Crocodile Hunter!
What a great day for the zoo!! The weather report called for rain but of course they were wrong and we had a bright sunny day :) The zoo was filled with crocodiles, alligators, camels, birds, kangaroos, koalas, elephants, tigers, and lizards! There was something so wonderful about being in Steve Irwin's zoo. The zoo that he created, worked his whole life for. It was amazing! The only thing that could of made it better was if Steve was still alive. Although it was bittersweet it was very sad at the same time because Steve was all over the place on walls, posters, everywhere. But it was nice to know that his passion for animals lives on in his zoo.
My friend Hunter is a huge Steve Irwin fan, which made the day even better because we had our own personal tour guide!! When we first got there it was time to feed the elephants!

HUGE! But very friendly and also left a lot of slobber. There are also huge kangaroo areas where you can go in to feed or pet the kangaroos. One of the kangaroos had a joey in her pouch and we saw it's little head stick out for a second :) very cute!
We went to the crocodile show that started out with birds flying all over the stadium. It was amazing to see how well trained they were! And last but certainly not least, I got to hold a koala!! ( I have learned that a koala is not a bear and Australian's become offended when you call it a bear )
What a successful day at the Australian Zoo!!
